About

Hudson Valley Food Finds was created to share my personal experiences related to cooking, dining, travel
around the Hudson Valley.

I hope to share my experiences in buying locally, cooking and eating in the Hudson Valley. Although I have worked
in professional kitchens I am by no means a chef. My interest in food started in the least likely of places, working
in a hospital kitchen. Most importantly this is also where I met my wife. Working in the Putnam Hospital coffee
shop as a short order cook I first experienced the joy of cooking for others.

What started out as just a job turned into a true passion and hobby. I don't know if hobby is the right word since it's something that has changed the way I
think and view the world. Everything from grocery shopping to gardening.

Since 2000 I have moved 10 times including stops in Albany, Boston, New York City and finally settling in the Hudson Valley. I currently work in Connecticut.
I hope to be able to share my experiences from all of these locations, as well as home in the Hudson Valley.
